Los Angeles, CA. Nov. 14-16, 2014

ISEPP 2013: “Abolishing Unscientific, Corrupt, Dehumanizing, Insane Psychiatric Treatment and Rehumanizing Mental Health Care” with Bruce E. Levine, PhD

Dr. Bruce Levine will be among our esteemed 2013 conference presenters.

Title:  “Abolishing Unscientific, Corrupt, Dehumanizing, Insane Psychiatric Treatment and Rehumanizing Mental Health Care”

Summary: History tells us that unscientific, corrupt, dehumanizing and insane institutions ultimately disappear, but only in part because they are unscientific, corrupt, dehumanizing and insane. And so, current standard psychiatric treatment will one day be abolished (and there are signs of that beginning), but only in part because it is unscientific, corrupt, dehumanizing and insane. Dr. Levine will discuss what history tells us is a likely reason that it will be abolished; what we can do to speed this abolition; and how we can rehumanize mental health care.
